NOW combines two nutrients extensively researched for their contribution to the health of bones, teeth and the cardiovascular system. Vitamin D3 promotes calcium transport and absorption. It may also play a role in proper insulin action and glucose metabolism and is critical to immune system function. Vitamin K is necessary for the formation of healthy, strong bones. Vitamin K plays a role in arterial health through its ability to support proper calcium metabolism in veins and arteries. Vitamin K2 is an active and bioavailable form of vitamin K.
