    Methylfolate (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is the form of folic acid your body uses the most for things like normal cell division and numerous other fundamental processes, such as the synthesis of neurotransmitters and DNA. Unlike regular folic acid, Methylfolate has been shown to penetrate the blood-brain barrier, where it helps to support neurological health.
